In situations of emergency, conflict, or fragility, barriers to timely civil registration of vital events are exacerbated. This paper describes how rapid, correct, and trusted communication about civil registration and vital statistics (CRVS) services becomes crucial to maintaining the demand, acceptance, and use of services.
